Prepare for the SAP Certified Associate – Data Analyst – SAP Analytics Cloud exam (code C_SAC). The current release (C_SAC_2501) is 60 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes with a 70% pass mark; SAP is rolling out a new 2026 scenario-based assessment (C_SAC_2601). SAP weights the exam across five areas: Story Design (21–30%), Planning (21–30%), Data modeling, analysis & integration (21–30%), Connections & data preparation (11–20%), and Performance, troubleshooting & security (≤10%). Preparation

Recommended revision plan (6 weeks)

For someone with 6 months of SAC experience. Adjust to your level.

  1. Week 1
    Story Design & Modeler basics

    Redo the official SAP Analytics Cloud: Story Design learning on SAP Learning Hub. Build 3 complete stories from imported models, one responsive.

  2. Week 2
    Advanced Modeler & data sources

    Dig into Account vs Generic dimensions, hierarchies, Live Connections vs Import. Run a Predictive Forecast on a seasonal model.

  3. Week 3
    Planning & Data Actions

    Build a Planning model with Budget/Forecast versions. Write 3 Data Actions: Actual→Budget copy, top-down allocation, inflation calculation. Calendar Tasks.

  4. Week 4
    Analytic Applications & scripting

    Convert a story into an Analytic Application. Write onSelect, onResultChanged scripts. Use Popups and page navigation.

  5. Week 5
    Security, AI & administration

    Configure DAC and roles. Test Smart Insights, Search to Insight, Just Ask. Read the admin docs (System Information, monitoring).

  6. Week 6
    Mock exams & targeted revision

    Take 2 mock exams (official SAP Learning Hub questions). Identify weak areas, revise intensively. Get a good night's sleep before the day.
