The confirmed cadence

SAP Analytics Cloud runs on a Quarterly Release Cycle (QRC): one major, customer-impacting update every three months, delivered in February, May, August and November every year. That rhythm is fixed and aligned with SAP's global strategy for cloud releases, so 2027 will again have four waves — QRC1 through QRC4. Between the majors, SAP delivers server patches (usually monthly, in the maintenance window) and zero-downtime client (CDN) patches as needed.

Expected 2027 QRC windows

SAP confirms exact dates in advance through its harmonized release calendar (SAP Note 2888562), and they aren't yet published for 2027 at the time of writing. Based on the consistent mid-month pattern of recent years, the expected 2027 windows are:

— QRC1 2027 — expected mid-February 2027
— QRC2 2027 — expected mid-May 2027
— QRC3 2027 — expected mid-August 2027
— QRC4 2027 — expected mid-November 2027

How the cycle actually works

Each QRC bundles the biweekly FastTrack features into a single major release for Quarterly Release Cycle tenants. If you're on the QRC track, you receive one big, tested update per quarter rather than continuous change — which is why the smart move each quarter is to review what shipped and test the parts that touch your models and stories before they hit production. Private/test-edition tenants can preview a release ahead of general availability.
