SAC Release 2026 Q3 (QRC3) preview: what's expected mid-August
The third SAP Analytics Cloud quarterly release of 2026 — 2026 QRC3 — is scheduled for 15–16 August 2026. It has not shipped yet. This page is a preview based on SAP's Roadmap Explorer and What's New Viewer, which publish the planned scope ahead of general availability. Everything below is provisional: SAP can add, defer or change pre-release features up until they ship, so treat this as a directional preview, not a confirmed feature list. We update it to a full breakdown once QRC3 goes live in August.
When it lands
SAC major releases follow a fixed quarterly rhythm — February, May, August, November. QRC3 2026 falls in the mid-August window (14–16 August depending on your data centre). If you run a private test edition tenant, you will typically be able to preview the release shortly before it reaches production tenants.
What is currently on the roadmap
The authoritative, always-current scope lives in two SAP sources: the SAP Roadmap Explorer and the in-product What's New Viewer. As of this writing, the themes carried into QRC3 continue the direction set earlier in 2026:
- Further Just Ask and Compass (predictive / simulation) enhancements, extending SAC's natural-language and scenario capabilities.
- Continued Data Analyzer and API improvements building on the Data Export / Import work delivered in QRC2.
- Ongoing refinement of the Optimized Design Experience — the new table and chart building tools that have been maturing quarter by quarter.
Because pre-release scope changes, we deliberately avoid listing "confirmed" features that could be pulled before GA. Check the Roadmap Explorer for the live list, and come back here after 15 August for the verified breakdown.
How to prepare
The preparation for any QRC is the same: preview on a private test edition tenant, validate your critical stories and data actions, and keep your models clean so the upgrade is uneventful. For the full-year context, see the 2026 release index; for what already shipped, the QRC2 2026 breakdown is the most recent delivered release.
Note: This is a pre-release preview. SAP's strategy and planned features are subject to change at any time without notice. The authoritative source is the SAP Roadmap Explorer and What's New Viewer. Verified breakdown to follow after the 15–16 August 2026 general availability.
